Duke Dumont (real name Adam George Dyment) has announced that he will be canceling the remainder of his 2019 shows after undergoing an operation this week. Though Dyment and his team stated they feel as if he can perform, they are following the advice of his doctor to rest instead. Those who were expecting to see him in Ireland, Dubai and Bali were instructed to reach out to ticket vendors to receive a refund.
While it remains unclear what caused the need for an operation, it goes without saying that he should take a step back to heal himself. The comment section of his announcement was filled with support and positivity from fans and fellow artists, proving the spread of awareness for prioritizing artists' well-being while on tour is growing.
