Combining a Steadicam-like vest/sled configuration with a gimbal that offers pan and tilt controls, along with locked horizons and self-balancing features, the Trinity offers seamless low-to-high transitions (unlike traditional steadicam rigs that have a low mode and a high mode but can't transition between the two during the course of a shot).
The Artemis Maxima can stabilize up to 66 lbs (!) and offers a variety of control schemes. Long in development and previously Sachtler-branded products, the Trinity and Maxima were acquired by Arri and will be released soon, with pre-orders opening in May and shipping to customers expected in the June/July timeframe.
