"Thoughts" by LOUD soundtracked the POTUS' entrance at a Washington D.C. event.
Trap may not be the first style of music that comes to mind when you think of Donald Trump, but a video from one of his public appearances might change that. "Thoughts" by LOUD played out over the speakers when the POTUS walked onstage at a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event last July. By the looks of things, though, the producer may not have been approached about the placement beforehand.
The clip, which has resurfaced thanks to Barstool Sports, shows Trump entering stage right to cheers from the audience. The event was a TPUSA Teen Student Action Summit that took place at the Marriott Marquis in Washington D.C.
LOUD (real name Sebastian Kereti) is reportedly less than thrilled about his music being used at the rally. The Kiwi producer told the NZ Herald that he was thinking about pursuing legal recourse. "It was the last place I'd expect to see it being used," he said. "I'm not a fan of [Trump] ... I would much prefer Obama to use it," he said, despite being "not really into politics."
Kereti, 22, released "Thoughts" in 2016 when he was still a student at Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand. Among his more recent releases are melodic trap singles like "Feels," "XO" and "Angel."
