Qoiet and Barenhvrd Come in Clutch with Metalstep Collab, "crown FACELESS"

The synthesis of bass music and hard rock is proving to be more than a flash in the pan.

You might remember Qoiet from his May LP, Absurd, which came out on Crowsnest Audio. The German artist has shown that there's more where that came from, starting with his collaboration with French talent Barenhvrd titled "crown FACELESS."

Both artists' fusion of hardcore and heavy bass music play well together in "crown FACELESS." Distorted electric guitar and warped vocals ring out over a halftime drum pattern before a brutal breakdown takes center stage in the arrangement.

Music by metalstep poster children like Sullivan King may encapsulate a more melodic manifestation of the genre crossover, but Qoiet and Barenhvrd's sound is better equipped to draw in fans of heavier rock music. With double-bass drums segueing seamlessly into bone-shattering drops in every track, they stand to bridge two otherwise mutually exclusive underground communities.
