Marshmello is doing his part to support racial justice in the wake of the death of George Floyd.
The masked DJ and producer recently took to social media to share a screenshot of a 50,000 payment he made to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, a major legal organization who "seeks structural changes to expand democracy, eliminate disparities, and achieve racial justice in a society that fulfills the promise of equality for all Americans."
Marshmello has been vocal about Floyd's death and the nationwide protests that ensued, taking to Twitter to share his thoughts on May 30th. "Black culture and influence play a big part in the music I make," he wrote. "The systematic racism and injustices that the black community face on a daily basis is something that no white person can relate to or begin to understand."
