The new track features a vocal sample from Nia Miranda's viral footage of the Los Angeles protests.
Frequent collaborators Skrillex and Ty Dolla $ign have teamed up with Ant Clemons and Virtual Riot for a track called "You See It," which doubles as a call to action. The downtempo single, which they teased in a clip on social media, features lyrics echoing the cries of the protestors around the country who are fighting for equality.
The end of the clip features a segment of actress and filmmaker Nia Miranda's viral video of the protests in Los Angeles. Towards the end of the video, you can hear her say, "When you see stuff like that, you're supposed to stand up and say something," a phrase that was sampled and repeated at the end of the collaborative track.
In the description of the video, Skrillex explains how he will be getting out to support the community and how he will lend a hand to the cleanup efforts. He also reveals that the artists involved made the new track just last night.
At the time of writing, none of the artists involved have announced if "You See It" will be officially released.
