Oliver Heldens finds inspiration from the sounds of classic house in his new track "Aquarius."
Oliver Heldens is taking listeners back in time with his latest classic house-inspired single. Titled "Aquarius," the Dutch producer's new song pays tribute to Kerri Chandler's track "Atmosphere" in a way that stays true to its roots with a decidedly modern twist.
He released the song on his very own Heldeep Records, and it immediately immerses listeners in a rhythmic, laid-back sound that's hard not to tap your feet or dance along to. "Aquarius" is another prime example of why his label is one of the more exciting outlets in dance music, and why it's often featured prominently at major music festivals.
Heldens' latest is not the only track in which he found inspiration from the sounds of the past. Back in the fall, he released his track with Riton, "Turn Me On" featuring Vula, which took inspiration from "Don't Go" by Yazoo.
Fans of Heldens were also excited to see him tease the return of his bass house project HI-LO after responding to a meme a fan shared on Twitter.
"Aquarius" by Oliver Heldens is out now on Heldeep Records. You can download or stream the new single here.
